I'm still having BV symptoms, but i finished my treatment?

Q. I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis a week ago, and was given metronidazole. I've taken it for the full 7 days and im still having the discharge and the smell. Its not as bad, but it is still there. Do i need another treatment? Also, before being treated i had this for a great while, and my doctor just had me keep taking monistat for a yeast infection.
